- CT scan are of Two (2) types, namely Plain CT and Contrast CT.
- Plain CT scan is a normal scanning done using imaging technique to create images of the body part under scan.
- Contrast CT scan, one needs to take an external substance by mouth(oral) or by way of injections.
- Contrast studies gives a detailed and clear image of the part of the body that is been examined.
- Before 4 hours, when the scan is going to be performed, one should not eat.
